Word of Mouth Shirts, the brand.

The day has come. Today is a big day for me. A lot of what I have been doing has been leading up to launching WORD as its own brand. Though this is not the sole purpose of the blog, it has always been a goal of mine to release t-shirts, as well as maintain the identity that WORD has taken on. So today I am introducing two designs that will set the direction in which the brand will take.

Kill Hubris Art House

I've been going crazy waiting on this tee to drop. Kill Hubris is introducing a series called Art House to the brand. I've seen some sketches of the tee and have had all the details for a while now, I can't wait to see the final product. The hang tag, pictured above, gives KH a fresh look on it's own. The tee will be ready for release mid March and will be a part of a limited run. 

Yema Yema Calls It Quits?

Just the other day I was checking Yema's site for new tees. Nothing. Then today she announces, thru her Tumbler that she is going to focus on her family for now and her awesome brand will be put on hold.

Have you heard of...Captain Greedi?

I’mmmm baaacckkk, with another edition of “Have you heard of…?” Remember last week, when we all met the first brand competing for Word of Mouth’s first ad space competition; well today I bring you Captain Greedi, the second brand in the competition. As I perused the Captain Greedi site, the first thing I saw was a yacht next to the logo, my reaction? Ummm, it went something like, “I’m on a boat! I’m on a boat!  Everybody look at me…” Just kidding, but it definitely set a precedent for a unique trip through the site that included many insights into what goes on behind the scenes and in the daily development of this brand. So without further a due, I bring you a new edition of “Have you heard of…?” where I am pleased to introduce you all to Jonathan and his Dallas based brand, Captain Greedi.

So Bobby had this great idea…why not post another edition of “Have you heard of…?” but interview the two brands that are competing for the Word of Mouth’s first ad space competition. “What a stellar idea,” I thought as I began to compile Intel on the first brand I was to interview. In doing this I found a brand that had me both waxing nostalgic of childhood memories (TURTLE POWER!) and wanting to RIOT at the same time! In this edition of “Have you heard of…?” I am excited to introduce you all to Aaron and faceOFfame, his home grown brand, hailing from San Antonio, Texas. Last year Rene, Sleepy Dan and I printed up the very first WORD of Mouth t-shirts. That whole process was a lot of fun and it was even more fun seeing people wearing the tees. Well its about that time again, I am about all out of the original design and can't wait to get the new tees out to everyone.
